Freightliners Farm - Tea House

HBC's current community build project is a Tea House, with wheelchair access, which is to be built using sound ecological principles.

The Project began on 11th August 2003. The site is an urban farm in Islington London and the structure will be built of green oak post and beams with straw bale infill on three sides.

We also hope (depending on grant funding) to include a green roof with Sedum.

Additional projects will include sustainable technologies such as photovoltaic panels (PV) for generating electricity, solar water panels for hot water, and a rain water recycling system.

These will be phased in over time.
